Terms & Conditions

1. Trade Only

Interior Designist products are available exclusively to design professionals, including interior designers, architects, and licensed contractors (collectively "Trade Professionals"). All purchases must be made through verified trade accounts.

2. Made to Order

All furniture pieces are custom-made to order. Production begins only after receipt of:

• Signed purchase order or contract
• 50% deposit payment
• Approved specifications and fabric selections (if applicable)
• COM fabric delivery (if applicable)

3. Lead Times

Standard lead times range from 6-8 weeks from order confirmation. Custom pieces or complex fabrication may require extended timelines. Lead times are estimates and not guaranteed. Interior Designist will make reasonable efforts to meet estimated delivery dates but is not liable for delays.

4. Pricing & Payment

All prices are subject to change without notice. Quoted prices are valid for 30 days from quote date. Payment terms:

• 50% deposit required to commence production
• Balance due prior to shipping
• Net 30 terms available for established accounts (upon credit approval)

5. Customer's Own Material (COM)

When providing your own fabric:

• Client is responsible for ensuring adequate yardage (we provide requirements)
• Fabric must be suitable for upholstery use
• COM must be delivered to our workshop before production begins
• We are not responsible for fabric defects, pattern matching limitations, or color variations
• Additional charges may apply for railroaded fabrics or complex patterns

6. Non-Returnable & Final Sale

All sales are final. No returns, exchanges, or refunds. Each piece is custom-made to order and cannot be resold. By placing an order, you acknowledge that:

• The piece is made specifically for your project
• You have reviewed and approved all specifications, dimensions, and materials
• Natural variations in wood grain, leather, and fabric are inherent characteristics
• Minor color variations from samples are normal and not grounds for rejection

7. Inspection & Acceptance

Clients must inspect furniture upon delivery. Any damage or defects must be reported within 48 hours of delivery. Failure to report issues within this timeframe constitutes acceptance of the piece as-is.

8. Limited Warranty

We warrant our furniture against defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from delivery date. This warranty covers:

• Structural frame defects
• Manufacturing defects in joinery or finish
• Hardware failures under normal use

This warranty does not cover:

• Normal wear and tear
• Damage from misuse, abuse, or improper care
• Fabric or leather wear, fading, or staining
• Natural characteristics of wood or leather
• Damage from unauthorized repairs or modifications

9. Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled within 48 hours of order confirmation for a full refund of deposit. After production begins, deposits are non-refundable. If cancellation occurs after production begins, client is responsible for all costs incurred plus 25% of remaining balance.

10. Force Majeure

Interior Designist is not liable for delays or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: material shortages, labor disputes, natural disasters, or supplier delays.

11. Limitation of Liability

Interior Designist's total liability for any claim shall not exceed the purchase price of the furniture piece in question. We are not liable for consequential, incidental, or special damages.

12. Intellectual Property

All designs, drawings, and specifications remain the intellectual property of Interior Designist and Erika Flugger. Unauthorized reproduction or copying is prohibited.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New York County, New York.

14. Modifications

Interior Designist reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes become effective upon posting to our website.
